Jingle Elves Story

Good morning everyone, it is Squirrel here today.

I hope your festive plans are coming along and all is joyful.  Our Christmas is currently going to hell in a rapidly accelerating handcart and I am not sure there are any brakes!

Never mind, it will be what it will be, and we will still enjoy it I'm sure.

Today I have a little mash-up for you, and I'm not talking potatoes.

So, the list of deliciousness used for this is:
The bottom border die is also Die-Namics (I think it is Dainty Doily Border) but it has
been retired by MFT.  There are still some  related products available in the DTDF store, just search for Dainty Doily.

That's me for today, I'm off to continue my panic elsewhere!

Hugs to all

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Happy Friday...it's Kat here!

Are you all getting excited for Christmas?!

Are you still making your Christmas cards?!

I know I am, and you can't beat a cute image, a little die cut detail and some pretty paper for a beautiful quick design :-)

The adorable snowman and sentiment are from a Neat & Tangled set and there are lots of other gorgeous images in the set too...the penguin is simply irresistible!

If you would like more details on how I created this card, including the Copic colours I used, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Gingerbread Lucy

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Well, it is well and truly December this weekend!
I hope all of you that have snow are snug and warm (and safe) indoors.

Squirrel here today feeling a little bit on the chilly side but I am here with a little heart warmer for you.
Last week my DTDF Teamie, Kat(Festive Bottle Tags) showed you how to use this die as a stunning tag for a wine bottle, but I have used mine to make a door hanger
(yes, I know it's not on a door, it's actually hanging from one of my saucepan hooks!)

Have a lovely (if wintry) weekend everyone!

Elves with treats

Hi everyone...it's Kat here!

I'm ashamed to say I have quite a few of this years Stamping Bella Christmas images that I haven't inked up yet, so thought I'd use one of them today.

Do you think these adorable little elves are packaging treats for all the good children (or adults!) or just stuffing their faces?!

If you would like more details on how I created this card, including the Copic colours I used, then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Have a wonderful day!

Polar Pals

It's time for my midweek post and today I'm sharing a CAS creation featuring Polar Pals from MFT

It's actually a birthday set, so I've combined with a sentiment from MFT's Jingle All The Way stamp set to transform it into a more Christmassy card instead.

Winter Bunny

Morning all, Squirrel here today

When it is as cold and windy and snowy (here and there) as the UK weather
has been this week, what you need is a matching hat and scarf combo!

Festive bottle tags

Hi everyone...it's Kat here!

"I love wrapping bottles" said pretty much nobody ever, so these bottle gift tags are the perfect answer!

I've used a brilliant MFT bottle tag die to cut the basic shape...I mean, you could cut these by hand but who has the time?!

I've used some more beautiful MFT dies to decorate the tags.

If you would like more details on how I created these tags then please do pop over to visit me at Paper Firefly.

Teddy Birthday Presents

It's my mid-week post and I'm using Teddy Birthday Presents from Whimsy Stamps combined with a sentiment from Stamping Bella's Dorothy the Dreamer. Although my teddy bear is cute, I'm hoping this might be sufficiently masculine for hubby's birthday card.

four and a bit weeks to the C*mas event, us crafters are probably up

Polar Bear and Mousie

I really love these stuffies from Stamping Bella, and today I've used one called Polar Bear and Mousie.  I've kept the design nice and simple so it focuses on the image which I've watercoloured as usual. The sentiment comes with the stamp.

Cosy lights

Happy Friday everyone...it's Kat here!

You may have noticed that I have been on a roll with my Christmas cards...well, I really do love making them :-)

However nice it is to make those special cards for special people, it's also great to have some designs that you can make in batches but still look really stylish...so this was my attempt at that!

I've used digital sentiments for these, but you could use a stamped sentiment just as easily.

How gorgeous and cosy do those lights look in the knit effect papers?!

The Walrus, the Polar Bear and the Penguin

It's 'Hump Day' so I'm here with my mid-weekly dose of cuteness from Dies To Die For using this adorable image called The Walrus, the Polar Bear and the Penguin Stuffies from Stamping Bella
.

I love these Stuffie images and wanted to keep the image as the central focal point. I've added a narrow matting layer of dusky blue and embossed a layer of white card as a background, stitching both layers.

Edna Needs A Martini

Hello all, Squirrel here again with another big
whack of sunshine and a smile

You might have noticed this little lady earlier in the week on my own blog, but hey, I absolutely
love her so why not use her again

There is something about Edna that I find hard to resist, perhaps
it's the sassyness that I relate to!

Bottoms up - shaken not stirred of course.

Oliver Loves to Celebrate

Cards don't come much more simple than today's, but I'm on a mission to ensure that I have enough Christmas cards for the guys in my life!  I'm horrendously bad at making cards for the gents, but I'm hoping this one is suitably non-fussy while still being adorable (which satisfies my need for cuteness!).  The stamp is Owliver Loves to Celebrate from Stamping Bella and I've used the sentiment which comes from the same set.

Hi lovely people and Happy Friday...it's Kat here!

I might be back to Christmas next time though as my gorgeous new Stamping Bella Christmas stamps have just arrived - squeeeeeeeee!!!

Santa's Elves

I've been getting inky again with my ink pads and daubers to create a background for some die cut images.  I 'cased' a card from Karin using the Santa's Elves stamp set.  I liked it so much that I made 3 using different elves from the same set.

To create the circle I cut a circle from paper and then use that as a template to ink some Tumbled Glass working my way inwards from the edge getting slightly lighter towards the centre.

Happy Halloween!

Hey everyone it's Elaine, back with some inspiration today here on the Dies to Die For blog featuring more awesome Stamping Bella stamps!

Tracy has all the gorgeous new Stamping Bella stamps and coordinating Cut It Out dies available on the website now. If something is out of stock, use the notification feature on the product page - that way you can get a heads up as soon as it comes back in!

Now, I know I've used her on a Halloween card here, but this gorgeous little witch doesn't need to gather dust all year. Cute little witchies aren't just for Halloween, especially when there are no pumpkins or jack o lanterns in sight!

Personally, I'm partial to a little magic all year round. ;) She'd be just as gorgeous on a bewitching birthday card.

Friends till the end

Hi Everyone, it's Faye here :)

How cute is this little witch? She's from the Friends Till the End Stamp Set by the amazing Deb Davis. (I met her at the Whimsy Stamps Retreat and she is 'such' a cool girl.) I love that she (the witch, not Deb!) looks like she has had one too many of whatever it is that witches sip by the pool, but still managed to slap on some lippy. Go girl!

I doodled my spider webs. Clearly I also had one too many of whatever it is that witches sip by the pool, because there are cobweb doodles included in this stamp set too ;)

Beary cosy shaker card

Hi everyone...it's Kat here!

Well look at that...the adorable Bitty Bears from MFT are just the perfect size to pop into the shaker domes!

Shaker cards are not the easiest to photograph, especially late in the evening with no natural light - lol!

I shook the sequins around for this angled shot and I just have to say...how ridiculously cute is that little bear?!

Halloween Hello

I 'cased' a card by Tara following her fabulously easy tutorial for a night sky background using my DI pads and a dauber.  I did get quite inky fingers though, and only the finger with the dauber seemed to escape!

I stamped the bat and then masked it with a fussy cut version that I'd stamped onto a post-it note.  The moon was a simple circle which further masked the card. I then used my dauber to ink from the edges inwards getting lighter as I moved inwards.

When the masks are removed the moon looks like it 'glows'. I added a bit of shading to the moon itself, coloured the bat and stamped a sentiment.

Merry Christmas from Santa and his Reindeer

Hey everyone it's Elaine, back with some inspiration today here on the Dies to Die For blog featuring more awesome stamps from the Stamping Bella Holiday 2017 release!

Tracy has all the gorgeous new Stamping Bella stamps and coordinating Cut It Out dies available on the website now!

I am a sucker for a cute Santa stamp, and this one ticks ALL the boxes, even without those ridiculous and adorable reindeer! I think he's going to need more than a bit of magic dust to get them pulling his sleigh!

Colouring Medium: Copic Markers, Distress Ink

If you would prefer to create your own scenes, you can get Santa, the reindeer, the sleigh and gifts in the Little Bits Christmas Collection Santa's Gifts stamp set (coordinating die set also available). I'll show a card I made with these and some of the other stamps another week!
